Pros and cons of Encyclopædia Britannica app for iPhone and iPad

Encyclopædia Britannica app good for

Even though it costs money...(sad), this is a good mobile alternative when you need general information that you can cite for school (and Wikipedia isnt allowed).
Dont buy into the hype, Wikipedia is fine if you need to know what happened in Episode 3 of season 2 of your favorite cartoon, but if you want or need real scholarship this is the app to have. The articles are both accurate and well-written, the price is a reflection of the fact that actual professionals write the pieces. If you can afford the 2$ a month this is well worth the price.
Very informative, and invaluable for university assignments. And to the people complaining about the price: seriously? Are you listening to yourself? Its 2 dollars a month, thats nothing! And certainly much less than what it would cost to buy a physical equivalent.
This saves me shelf space, money, and eliminates research time. $2 a month is great for this encyclopedia. Keep this app for 80 years and you still saved money on buying the whole set. If you need quality information wrapped in a quality app, get the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
Plato,Socrates ,Aristotle,Newton shared their knowledge for free. Even Einstein was not in pursue of wealth during his fruitful career. "All the knowledge of the world is useless if it cant be shared for free",said Socrates. I wouldnt mind paying $30 for the entire encyclopedia but $3 per page hinder my quest for knowledge I appreciate the effort of those who created the app, digitalized the wealth of knowledge . They deserve to be rewarded for their effort . But we do need more free stuff for learning . I gave 4 stars anyway cause the app is fancy and easy to use.
I appreciate real facts. Wikipedia is great, but its no Britannica.

Some bad moments

Why would I buy a subscription based app, when wikipanion is free, amazinly accurate, and dynamic???
Doesnt even deserve a star! Students should not use this as a source of research because it is EXTREMELY biased on almost every topic. Youre better off with Wikipedia, at least you can read MORE THAN A DAMN PARAGRAPH on it without having to get scammed into buying.
Paying for an app that crashes a lot is not good for the reputation of the developer. Please fix it! Could be a good app but because of this fault its not worth the money.
Worst application ever!! You have to have an account which is stupid then it freezes. Plus you need to subscribe for $2 for an application that freezes all the time?! Please!!! Wikipedia eats this application 10 times!!!
I am sure britannica doesnt care about customer in this app just colorful ads. And no enough options. You cant do a list of things with it. Just gauges you money per month!
Well another app that gets you to buy for a cheap price then tries to screw you over by asking you to pay more for the full version.
